Jon and his wife Alexis love the outdoors and take every opportunity to get off the beaten path. They enjoy camping, hiking, and off-roading, and a typical Saturday finds Jon tending to their animals or working on a project around the house. Real estate has always been an interest of his and he is excited to be working with Colorado Home Realty. Professionally, Jon has over ten years of experience in business operations, finance, and operational strategies. In 2019 he received the San Fernando Valley Business Journal’s “Rising Star” CFO of the Year Award.
Originally from the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, Jon began studying computer science and earned a degree in Criminal Justice. Described as meticulous, driven, and compassionate, Jon is also a natural-born teacher and loves finding opportunities to put that talent to use. He has practiced martial arts since he was seven years old, plays the saxophone, and is a scuba diver with a “master diver” rating. He is also an avid shooter and has been competing on a national level for over ten years. Always striving to learn and grow, one of Jon’s future goals is to earn his Certified Managerial Accountant certification.
Jon is proud of the life he and Alexis have built together and all they have accomplished in a very short time. They knew what they wanted out of life and never let fear or doubt get in the way. They got married amid the global pandemic, sold everything, and moved halfway across the country to be able to live the kind of life they dreamed about. He and Alexis now have eleven animals in addition to their three dogs, and their dream vacation would be to someday visit Greece and Israel.
One of Jon’s biggest inspirations in life is his father, a man who somehow managed to work full time, go to school and night, and still make time for his family. He demonstrated tenacity, honor, passion, and a commitment to excellence; qualities Jon admires and tries to embody every day. One of his favorite books is “Rich Dad Poor Dad” by Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon Lechter, for how influential it has been to his personal and professional development. Jon’s favorite drink is bourbon (neat), and if he had a theme song, it would be “Country Again” by Thomas Rhett. Jon’s words to live by are: Trust, but verify.
