Jessica Kuras

With a long-time dream of teaching math in Colorado and living near the Rocky Mountains, Jessica made that a reality in 2010, moving all on her own here from the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan where she grew up and then attended Alma College (in Alma, MI), graduating Summa Cum Laude with an Elementary Education degree focused on Mathematics and English. In 2015, she felt a draw to a different career path and took her skills into the Operations and Finance arenas. Prior to coming to CHR, Jessica worked as a Quality Control Administrator at an equipment-leasing company, reviewing all leasing documentation before it was sent out to customers.

Jessica brings exceptional people and organizational skills and a knack for efficiency to her role as CHR’s office manager. She is articulate and loves to write, but also enjoys working with numbers and problem solving. Her adaptability and versatility help her quickly learn and take on new challenges. Very few obstacles stand in the way of Jessica meeting her goals and ambitions (just ask her family!) and her outgoing, congenial personality helps her have fun and make friends along the way.

When she’s not helping CHR run like a well-oiled machine, you will most likely find Jessica hiking with her Siberian Husky Neko, training him to get more involved in winter skijoring – a sport where he pulls her on skis. Right now it requires walking with him for 3-7 miles a day. On the weekends she enjoys exploring in the mountains. She also loves cooking and photography and the fun DIY projects that come with owning a condo, especially if duct tape is involved.

Jessica listens to all genres of music, but especially those with a heavy beat. She’s also a Detroit Red Wings and Tigers fan and stays active as an Alumna of her college sorority, Gamma Phi Beta.

Jessica comes from a close-knit family who wish she didn’t live 1500 miles away, but she is proud of her independence and the courage it took not only to make the move to Colorado, but also then to successfully switch career gears.

She looks forward to growing and excelling in her role with CHR and continuing to thrive in her Colorado home.
