Valerie Johnson

When not helping clients find their future homes, Valerie most enjoys being outdoors with her little family, rock climbing, and camping on public land. As a real estate agent, Valerie is a skilled communicator whose goal is for every transaction to be a great experience. She is especially adept at working closely with listing agents to learn what’s important to the seller, and to make deals happen. She also hosts many first time home buyer events because she believes empowering her people with knowledge is key!

Valerie is the type of person who relates well with people, and rises to a challenge. She is of Colombian heritage, and speaks Spanish as a second language. Valerie studied Spanish International Trade at Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama, War Eagle! She has also had the opportunity to study in Pamplona, Spain and Costa Rica; and was fortunate enough to be a translator for American doctors in Honduras.

Valerie’s natural ability to put herself in other people’s shoes and make them feel comfortable is key to how she builds professional relationships and makes friends. She aims to live with honesty and kindness every day. She offers these words of advice to her clients: look at what you're doing now and decide if it makes you happy, use your mind to find your real desires, and know where you want to be and how you’ll get there. 

She is most proud of where she is today because she made a decision and went for it! Valerie’s colleague Melody Switzer is her personal inspiration; and The Great Alone, by Kirstin Hannah, is her favorite book. She also has a dog named Stiles, absolutely loves Colorado, and can’t think of a better place to live!  

Valerie knows that the majority of her clients are first-time home buyers, and appreciates being part of that amazing experience. She is excited about being an agent with Colorado Home Realty, and would love to help you find your future home.
